Study: Friendly People 40% More Likely to Get Promoted

Friendly people are 40% more likely to get a promotion within 2 years. Being “friendly” means stopping by a colleague’s office to chat, going to lunch with co-workers, organizing after-work activities. It makes sense. But don’t we all know someone at work who crosses the line between being friendly and being a little too “TMI?” That’s where the line gets crossed, and now, instead of being promoted, you’re getting looked over. It’s a tough line to walk, but really, all you need to do is use common sense. Don’t you wonder why some don’t?
